Organised a Campus Bird Count at this campus from 16th to 19th as part of the national event.Formed a bird watchers group at the college and had Roshnath Ramesh and Pc Rajeevan and Manoj Karingamadathil interact/guide the participants for first three sessions each.The 35 acre campus, unexplored so far, was a revelation with 64 species being recorded during the period .The highlights were Blue faced Malkoha,Yellow wattled Lapwing and Golden fronted leafbird and Rufus Babblers.And the best thing is the first time birders there continues to upload checklists.Thanks to faculty Murali Raghavan and Muhammed Nissam for facilitating.
